Ms. Lorraine's Speech News

This week for speech therapy during large group I read The Big Wide Mouthed Frog, by Ana Martin Larranaga.  In this story a frog takes a journey and runs into different creatures and asks them who they are and what they eat.  This helped carryover the skill the teachers are working on this week of asking and answering WH questions.
The students got to hold pictures of the animals and/or food they eat.  When the part in the story came they brought up their picture and put it on the board. We also talked about the word big that was used a lot in the story.  We practiced making the /b/ sound with our lips and then watched a video about the letter b.
Here are some words with the initial sound b for you and your child to practice. You could go on a scavenger hunt or print two copies to make a matching game.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoFz9V_BEG4
