Happy Veteran's Day!
Happy Veteran's Day! Our class has been having a blast dressing up this week as many different community helpers. Along with our community helpers unit, we talked about who veterans are today. Thank you to all who have served our country!
Introducing the Team Mitchel Fire Fighters! We had a super time making a fire truck and using it along with our fun dress up fire fighting gear. We loved the story Fire Truck! by Ivan Ulz (check it out on YouTube) We also talked about fire safety. You may have been asked about having 2 exits from your home and having a meeting spot.

Dear families-
Hello! Happy November! Last week we had so much fun with all of the
fall festivities! One of our favorite
activities was opening, exploring, and carving pumpkins. We also enjoyed playing with “slime” and counting,
sorting, and patterning spiders. We
enjoyed our visit with Officer Friendly too.
The highlight was dressing up in our costumes!
Please send in a winter set of extra
clothing for your child if you have not yet done so. We sent home the bags that contained summer
clothing for replacements. Although this
crazy wonderful weather is still nice, we’re expecting cold anytime. Please send your child with appropriate
outerwear as the weather changes. It is
very chilly, especially in the A.M., and we go out early. Thanks!
Please turn in your November Fun
Family Homework assignments next week. Also,
Scholastic book orders are due November 9th. Thanks so much! Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello
preschool families! We had a super fun
week here at the BECC last week! I was so
lucky to be able to come to school in my PJs, as a super hero, 80’s style, etc
with your children. What fun we’ve
had. I loved seeing the class dressed up
and their excitement this week. Enjoy
the pictures below!!
Thanks
so much to all who have signed up for a conference. If you have not signed up for a time slot on
the sign up genius link. Here is the link again. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040e49aea96-parent Thanks! Ms. Jenni our Speech therapist wanted those
families who receive her services to know that she will be here if anyone needs/wants to
stop by. She’ll be in the conference room on both of the Parent Teacher
nights.

Speech News:
This week in speech we are reading the book Moo Moo Brown Cow. It is a great book with repeating phrases and
animal noises and colors. We also went
on an animal hunt for the baby animals in the story. They had to find the picture with the right
animal and number. During the story we
also worked on describing the animals & answering WH questions about the
story.
Target vocab:
duck, frog, pig, cow, sheep, goose, fish, farm, dog, puppy, honk, oink, moo,
quack, cluck, chicken, lamb, calf, froglets, chicks, goslings, kids
*This week while in the car point out
any animals you see or pretend to be different animals, talk about where they
live; if you were an animal what would you want to be & why. Point out familiar places to the children
and what you do there, what you buy, what you see. Counting is an easy way to work on speech and
language with your child.
